Aegis for Endpoint Wired and Wireless Security

Meetinghouse has announced the availability of AEGIS SecureConnect 4.0 for endpoint security. AEGIS SecureConnect allows enterprises to configure, deploy, and manage their endpoint security to combat wireless and wired network threats that affect data and network integrity. AEGIS SecureConnect gives enterprises a cost-effective and scalable solution to control network access and ensure users are properly authenticated to the network.

AEGIS SecureConnect builds upon standards-based Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) technology found in hundreds of millions of OEM network devices, handhelds, laptops, and desktops around the world. In addition, the latest release of AEGIS SecureConnect provides a dramatic improvement on IEEE standards-based 802.1X authentication security and usability, making it easy for IT managers to upgrade their networks to a centrally manageable endpoint integrity solution.

Endpoint security is rapidly becoming one of the most critical issues for ensuring the integrity of corporate enterprise networks. To be in compliance with regulations such as Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA, and Graham Leach Bliley, businesses must know who is on the network, what they are doing while connected, and what data and applications they have access to.

AEGIS SecureConnect 4.0 delivers key features for improving enterprise network security. In addition to complete standards-based support for the most advanced EAP methods and Wi-Fi Alliance specifications for Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA2) security, AEGIS SecureConnect provides enterprises with: Endpoint integrity checking at Layer 2 before an IP address is granted; Wired and wireless LAN connections, providing WPA2 support for wireless access; Support for single sign on (SSO) and group policy objects at network log on; Network access policy enforcement of server and client certificates and more.

"As more enterprises realize the value of locking down their network ports and authenticating the users and devices that attach to them, they will look at AEGIS SecureConnect as a great enabler of enterprise network security,” said Anthony Delli Colli, Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
